Rishi Sunak has hailed a huge £2billion investment with car giant Nissan a massive boost for Britain.
This morning, it was confirmed Nissan will manufacture future electric versions of two of its best-selling models at its Sunderland plant after months of talks.
On a visit to the plant this morning, Rishi Sunak said the decision by Nissan is a “huge vote of confidence in the UK and in our automotive industry”.
He said companies like the Japanese car giant are showing that the UK is “a fantastic place to do business”.
