Queen Elizabeth’s final few words just days before her death have been revealed by Liz Truss.
The former Prime Minister has opened up on her final conversation with the late monarch, and even lifted the lid on her parting six words: “I’ll see you again next week.”
Sadly, the pair would never reunite as the late Queen passed away peacefully at Balmoral just two days after their first official meeting.
Speaking on The Sun’s political show Never Mind the Ballots, Ms Truss said the monarch was determined to do her duty despite her declining health.
“She talked a lot about all of the issues that were going on, all of the issues in the PM’s inbox,” Ms Truss said. “She was amazingly across absolutely everything that was going on.”
