Queen Camilla's stunning antique brooch bears a secret message to King Charles

Queen Camilla’s antique brooch sparked conversation after she wore it on a royal outing today, January 31, with some noting its apparent romantic connection to King Charles.

Her Majesty wore the brooch as she opened Maggie’s Royal Free, a new cancer support centre at the Royal Free Hospital in London, where she also gave an update on her husband’s condition.

She told reporters and well-wishers that the King was “getting on” and “doing his best” after he left hospital on Monday following an operation to treat his enlarged prostate.

The Queen’s enamel and diamond set brooch dates from around 1890 and comprises an “undulating square of old cut diamonds interwoven with two ribbon like, electric green enamelled gold strands”.

According to a post on X, formerly Twitter, the two strands interwoven together symbolise two lives which have been joined together by love, which royal fans took to signify the almost 20-year marriage between the King and Queen.

One fan commented: “How exciting !! Queen Camilla’s antique brooch today. Looks like KCIII has been out shopping for his darling.”

Others questioned whether it was a recent gift from the King as it did not appear to have been worn in public before, with another account clarifying: “I’m now pretty sure it was a gift from the King, because the brooch came from Wartski.

“This company made the wedding rings for the King and Queen in 2005. And the company holds royal appointments as jewellers to The King.”

Another added: “Wow love the meaning of the brooch, two lives joined together by love.”
