Queen Camilla unfazed by 'hatchet job' The Crown as popularity remains strong


Queen Camilla is unfazed by “hatchet job” of her portrayal in the latest season of The Crown.

Some could be made to believe that highlighting past events involving the now-Queen could affect her popularity ratings, due to reliving the moments were her popularly wasn’t as good as it is now, but royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams believes that her popularity will not be affected.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Mr Fitzwilliams says that Queen Camilla’s latest portrayal in the sixth and final season, released by Netflix on Thursday, will likely not “have much effect” on her ratings at all.

Camilla and Charles started dating after having first met back in 1970. Following a split, Camilla met and married Andrew Parker Bowles, whilst Charles met and married Diana Spencer.

Despite this, the pair maintained a very close relationship throughout their time apart.
