Queen Camilla to take well-earned break from public duties after 'holding the royal fort'

Queen Camilla is set to take a well-deserved break from royal duties after holding down the fort since King Charles’s cancer diagnosis was announced on February 5.

She has no public engagements in her diary until March 11 and it is understood she will spend some time relaxing with the King and her family, The Times has reported.

The Royal Family will be back out in force on March 11 for the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey, which King Charles will also not be attending.

He has withdrawn from public life temporarily while he undergoes treatment, although he continues to receive his government red boxes and hold meetings in private.

Since the King’s diagnosis was made public Camilla has undertaken 13 engagements, many of them solo when she would normally have been with her husband.
