Queen Camilla shows off sword skills by cutting cake to mark 100 years of Poppy Factory

Queen Camilla showed off her sword skills this afternoon by cutting a cake with the enormous blade.

Pictures show Her Majesty impressively slicing the cake, which was ornately decorated to mark the centenary of The Poppy Factory, which was founded in the aftermath of the First World War.

The Queen hosted a reception at Clarence House this afternoon to mark the 100 year anniversary of the famous factory.

During the reception, Camilla met the factory’s employees and long-standing friends and partners, as well as veterans and family members who have overcome barriers and seen their lives changed by civilian employment with help from The Poppy Factory.

The Queen also viewed a small exhibition of poppies and wreaths that show the evolution of the poppy as a symbol of Remembrance and the factory’s role in the Remembrance tradition.
