Queen Camilla likely has sampled some of the finest cuisine in the world, however some of her favourite meals are super simple and affordable.
In conversation with Tom Parker Bowles – a food writer, food critic and Camilla’s own son – for You Magazine, the royal shared her relatable foodie habits.
Despite her extraordinarily busy schedule, Queen Camilla spends a fair amount of time in the kitchen.
She told You Magazine all about her favourite things to cook, and it seems the Queen puts nutrition and ease first.
Camilla revealed: “I do still cook for myself when at home. Simple things like fish en papillote with butter and herbs.
Growing her own vegetables isn’t something Camilla has gotten into recently as a hobby – she grew up doing it.
She shared that when she was a little girl her family “grew everything from tomatoes and melons to peas, beans, carrots and new potatoes”.
Indeed, she recalled one of her earliest memories: podding peas and beans with her mum, Rosalind Shand.
