Queen Camilla forced to pull out of planned visit as royal struck by 'seasonal illness'

Buckingham Palace announced the Queen Consort is pulling out of a series of engagements planned for February 14 in the West Midlands. The reason behind this cancellation, the Palace said, is that Camilla is “suffering from a seasonal illness”.

The engagements lined up for tomorrow will be rescheduled. The 75-year-old royal is reportedly hoping to be able to undertake them on Wednesday, February 15.

It is thought the Queen Consort is suffering from a bad cold.

Camilla was due to travel alone to the West Midlands on Tuesday to visit to pay tribute to the 100th anniversary of the Elmhurst Ballet School.

As a keen ballet fan herself, the royal was meant to meet students, staff and alumni and hail the prestigious history of the school.
