Queen Camilla has arrived for a musical evening at Salisbury Cathedral to celebrate the work of local charities, such as The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust.
The 76-year-old’s latest appearance comes just three days after King Charles’s cancer diagnosis was confirmed.
The Queen gave fans an update on the King’s health since his diagnosis, stating that he is doing “extremely well”.
Asked about Charles, she replied: “Well, he’s doing extremely well under the circumstances, he’s very touched by all the letters and the messages the public have been sending from everywhere – that’s very cheering.”
Despite the recent news, Queen Camilla appeared in high spirits as she stepped out in cream.
Upon her arrival at the Cathedral, the Queen was received by The Lord Lieutenant before being introduced to the Reverend Canon Anna Macham.
The Queen had the chance to meet local dignitaries and frontline staff from the charities, as well as being introduced to Rupert Egerton-Smith and the Directors of Music from the Bands of The Grenadier Guards and The Rifles.
Following a short reception, The Queen entered the Cathedral, where she was greeted by a fanfare, process down the aisle and take her seat.
Just last month, it was announced that the King would be admitted to hospital to undergo treatement for an enlarged prostate.
After his admission on January 26, the King spent three nights in The London Clinic – the same hospital that the Princess of Wales was staying in following “planned” abdominal surgery.
Buckingham Palace’s statement confirmed that the King’s cancer diagnosis is “a separate issue of concern” and that “subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer”.
According to the statement, the King will some take away from public-facing duties but will continue any stately duties during his treatment.
Despite the King’s recent hospital stay and cancer diagnosis – which were not related – Queen Camilla has carried out various duties representing the monarchy during the King’s absence.
During the King’s three-night hospital stay, Queen Camilla was spotted on numerous occasions visiting her husband.
