Putin's £1 billion underground Black Sea bunker where he would skulk from Russian enemies

Vladimir Putin’s top-secret bunker complex complete with a wine cellar and strip club has been uncovered in leaked blueprint documents. The hideaway measures 190,000 square feet and sits below the Russian President’s £1 billion mansion overlooking the Black Sea.

Putin’s personal retreat Gelendzhik Palace is known to rival Buckingham Palace in scale and is now understood to house the subterranean lair.

Details of the palace were first brought to the world’s attention by imprisoned Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, with the heavily guarded site said to contain a pool, cinema and wine cellar for Putin’s personal use.

In addition, the leaked blueprints now point to previously unknown floors hiding deep underground.

Some 50 metres below ground it is said to have a vast network of garishly decorated tunnels protected by thick concrete walls.

Documents from the now-defunct Russian construction firm Metro Style, once accessible online, have outlined details of the despot’s bunker.

The drawings exposed a complicated network of tunnels built with heavy concrete and moisture-resistant materials intended to shield from explosions. An opulent palace was built above the tunnels.

Two separate sections are joined by a lift that descends around 50 metres below ground.

There are numerous escape routes that lead to the cliff.

The tunnels’ extensive cables, ventilation systems, and fresh water supply ensure inhabitants can stay there for extended periods.

It is rumoured that Putin has equipped the residence with a questionable “striptease” area intended for him and his associates, featuring a stage and a pole.
