Priti Patel has apologised to King Charles after a leaked memo suggested she supported calls for Prince Andrew to get his £3million security back.
The former Home Secretary has said sorry for causing “embarrassment and difficulties” after she is claimed to have sent an email calling for a review of the disgraced Duke of York’s protection.
Andrew is understood to have lost his taxpayer-funded police guards after stepping back from royal duties in 2019, following his disastrous BBC Newsnight interview.
