Princess Kate's 'radical new way' of raising Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Louis

Speaking to the Daily Beast, Quinn discussed how Kate has wanted to include William in parenting in ways that previous heirs had not been.

He told the Daily Beast: “I have heard that Kate has been very good at both accepting the way the system works, but also slightly subversively modifying it.”

Quinn added: “[Kate] insisted that [Prince] William was involved in bedtime, reading to the kids and bathing them, and they split the school run.”

According to royal commentator Daniela Elser, who wrote in her piece for news.com.au, this is Kate’s “starting point”.

She added that William has “already done more parenting than centuries of forbidding, emotionally stunted heirs before him ever have combined”.

Ms Elser added that this “extends to their home life”, with the family of five “not attended to by a small battalion of staff”.

The Daily Beast’s Tom Sykes has also reported that, according to royal sources, “the children – and William – are expected to do regular chores, such as emptying the dishwasher, and tidying around the house.”

He added, that according to said sources, the family “do not have a full-time housekeeper specifically because Kate wants them to experience as much normality as possible.”

Mr Sykes added that Kate’s “own middle-class upbringing” is “the blueprint” for her wishes.

Kate and William now reside at Adelaide Cottage, a four-bedroom located on the grounds of Windsor Home Park, with their three children.

The home is based a short walk away from Windsor Castle, with all three of the children attending Lambrook School.
