Princess Kate's Mother's Day photo removed from major photo agencies over 'editing claim'

Major photo agencies have issued a ‘kill notice’ for a picture of Princess Kate due to an editing claim.

Top photo agencies in the world stated on Sunday night that a photo released by Kensington Palace, featuring the Princess of Wales and her three children, has been “manipulated”.

The Associated Press (AP), Reuters, Agence France-Presse (AFP) and Getty Images all separately sent out a “kill notice” to media organisations worldwide, confirming they had each removed the image from their individual collections.

Inside sources revealed the agencies believed the picture, said by Kensington Palace to have been taken last week in Windsor and showing the Princess alongside her three little ones, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, nine and Prince Louis, five, had been artificially altered from the original.

A notice from The Associated Press stated: “At closer inspection it appears that the source has manipulated the image.”

Earlier on, sharp-eyed royal watchers on social media noticed that the sleeve of Princess Charlotte’s arm didn’t match up. Questions also came up about Prince George’s right hand being blurry, reports the Mirror.

This follows a previous photoshop error with the royals’ Christmas card when Prince Louis was left without a middle finger.

Kensington Palace has not commented.
