Princess Kate's hair secrets revealed by her stylist, from bouncy curls to full volume

Princess Kate may be one of the most popular members of the Royal Family, famed for her philanthropic efforts and her hands-on approach to motherhood, but her hair is also frequently gushed over.

Hair stylist Amanda Cook first started working with the Princess back in 2012, the year after she married Prince William but before she gave birth to her first child, Prince George.

In a TikTok video shared by royal style expert Miranda Holder, Ms Cook can be seen going through three essential products which can be used to style hair like Kate’s.

Ms Holder said of the products: “The best thing about it is that all of the items are easily available and affordable”, with many available to purchase on the British high street.

Here Express.co.uk takes an in-depth look at each of the three products, how much they cost and how they can be used to help you copy Kate’s look.

Kiehl’s Creme with Silk Groom is a “favourite among stylists”, as according to Miranda Holder it “adds shine and keeps everything in its place”.

The product retails at a relatively affordable £30.50 for a 200ml bottle and helps to give Kate’s hair its trademark natural-looking sheen.

Stylist-trusted brand Kiehl’s describes their product as a must-have for offering moisture, protection and a conditioning layer, without appearing greasy.

The Mason Pearson Handy Brush is an “iconic British institution”, according to Ms Holder, having been first designed in 1920 and remaining broadly the same over the past 100 years.

The brand has now expanded its range to provide custom bristles with various hair types in mind, with prices varying depending on the design.

The Handy Boar Bristle Hairbrush uses six rings of stiff boar bristle tufts to inject the illusion of volume into fine hair and helps to fight flyaways and frizz, while the Handy Sensitive Hairbrush has six rings of fine boar bristle tufts designed specifically for fine hair, or for those experiencing hair loss or thinning.

L’Oreal’s iconic hairspray Elnett is a classic for a reason, with many celebrity stylist opting to use it on their clients, and it can be bought for less than £10.

L’Oreal describes Elnett as its “iconic gold hairspray with long-lasting, natural hold”, however the brand has expanded the range over the years to add shine, volume or offer protection against heat.

The spray helps to keep Kate’s curls in place throughout a busy day of royal engagements, with the original 400ml can available to buy from Boots for just £6.70.
