Princess Kate's go-to pizza recipe she loves to make with George, Charlotte and Louis

Kate, Princess of Wales and Prince William have both enjoyed the luxury of a personal chef in the past, though the royals are also known for their love of cooking.

Princess Kate in particular is a fan of preparing meals at home and even does her own grocery shopping according to Darren McGrady, who worked as a personal chef to Queen Elizabeth II.

The mother-of-three has revealed the ingredients most loved by her young children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in the past, including on a walk with Mary Berry.

In 2019, Kate told the renowned baker and chef that her three youngsters are big fans of helping out in the kitchen, especially when making pizzas together.

She claimed that they’re big fans of Mary Berry’s pizza dough recipe, which uses just five ingredients.

To make the dough, measure the flour, yeast and olive oil into a bowl. Add the garlic and salt on a separate side of the bowl to the yeast, then gradually add the arm water a little at a time. Stir with a wooden spoon until combined and a soft dough is formed, adding more water if necessary.

Tip the mixture onto a floured work surface and knead for 10 minutes into a smooth dough. Oil a large clean bowl, sit the dough in the bowl and cover with cling film.

Leave in a warm place to rise for one hour or until doubled in size. When ready, transfer the dough to a floured work surface and knead it into a round to lightly knock it back. Use fingers or knuckles to push the dough out into a circle about 30cm in diameter, leaving it slightly thicker at the edges to form the crust of the pizza.

Place on a sheet of baking paper spread over a flat baking sheet and finish with passata, cheese and a range of other toppings.

While Princess Kate did not elaborate on how the family enjoy their pizzas, she previously revealed that her children are big fans of vegetables. She told Mary Berry that she and the kids love to grow their own carrots, beans, Charlotte potatoes and beetroot at home, the latter of which is a “massive favourite” of Prince Louis.

The youngest royal “absolutely loves Beetroot”, according to Kate, while his older siblings prefer other ingredients. The Princess of Wales once shared that her daughter Charlotte “loves olives”, and is no doubt a go-to topping when enjoying homemade pizzas.

Prince George, on the other hand, loves spaghetti carbonara so it’s possible he’d prefer pork on his pizzas.
