Princess Kate's brother James Middleton shares first snaps of newborn son

Princess Kate’s brother, James Middleton, has shared the first images of his newborn son, Inigo.

The 36-year-old and his wife Alizee Thevenet welcomed their newborn a few weeks ago. On Tuesday they were pictured together as a family out in Notting Hill, London.

Inigo is a first cousin to the Prince and Princess of Wales’ three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

James took to Instagram to post a series of snaps with his baby boy, while he also praised the NHS for looking after both Alizee and the newborn at Basingstoke Hospital, where he was born. In one of the photos, Inigo can be seen holding a small pendant of the family’s late pooch, Ella, who passed away earlier this year.

In another photo, the newborn can be seen in his cot while the family’s other dogs watch over him.

A third snap shows James with Inigo in a baby grow with the dogs around them.

The 36-year-old captioned the post: “He has been in our lives for just a few weeks but they have been the most special of my life getting to know our beautiful baby boy. No matter how prepared I thought I was…

“I was not prepared for the overwhelming emotion of meeting Inigo for the first time and the love for my darling Alizée as we became three.

“We have settled into our new life as parents and I’ve told him all about Ella and that if it wasn’t for her he wouldn’t be here today and that we miss her greatly.”

He added: “The dogs have been fantastic at welcoming their little brother into the pack (although Inka needs to know the teddybears are not all for her…)”

James also praised the NHS saying: “We would like to thank the wonderful team at Basingstoke hospital, from the very first scan to walking out the front door for the first time as three, we couldn’t have felt more supported and looked after throughout so thank you NHS.”
