Princess Kate wows in Diana's earrings and fabulous green outfit at Trooping The Colour

Kate, Princess of Wales, 41, attended today’s Trooping The Colour wearing a green outfit with a matching hat, along with the late Princess Diana’s earrings.

The Princess chose a green outfit today to pay homage to her association with the Irish Guards.

Kate’s dress was designed by Andrew Gn, and featured bejewelled designs all over the garment.

The Princess paired her dress with green stiletto heels, which looked amazing with her overall outfit.

In addition, she wore a wide-brimmed green hat designed by Phillip Treacy, who is often the Royal Family’s go-to designer for headgear.

Kate chose to wear Diana’s earrings, which she often does at grand events, including Trooping The Colour during the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The drop earrings feature two blue sapphires, each of which is encircled by a diamond halo. Diana wore these earrings on numerous occasions, the 1996 Met Gala is possibly the most notable.

Princess Diana’s engagement ring, which was given to Kate when she and Prince William became engaged in 2010, is identical in style to the earrings.
