Princess Kate 'won't play peacemaker' with Prince Harry as rift to spiral beyond Christmas

Kate, the Princess of Wales “won’t hold out an olive branch” to Prince Harry in time for Christmas, according to one royal expert.

Princess Kate is known for being the one to hold down the mediator role within the Royal Family, having tried on various occasions to get everyone back on side.

She notably brought Prince William and Prince Harry together at Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021 – just weeks after his explosive sit-down with Oprah Winfrey aired.

However, two years down the line, the situation is proving to be a little more complex, especially following a list of “brutal” attacks on the Royal Family in Harry’s tell-all memoir Spare.

Speaking to Fabulous magazine, royal commentator Jennie Bond said: “Catherine has played the peacemaker in the past and has brought William and Harry together, and I think that comes from her own family, and their values.

“But I think she has got to a stage whereby she has had to take a step back.

“Things have gone too far, and she feels upset and, quite frankly, hurt and insulted.”

As well as planting attacks on his father, stepmother and brother, Harry also discussed his sister-in-law in his explosive memoir.

He claimed that, when wife Meghan Markle was introduced to royal life, there had been signs of discord between her and Princess Kate.

Harry even once referred to Kate as the “sister I’ve never had and always wanted”.

Despite documenting her and Meghan’s tense, Harry did take to his memoir to call Kate a “good match” for his brother.

In Spare, he wrote: “I loved my new sister-in-law. I felt she was more sister than in-law, the sister I’ve never had and always wanted, and I was pleased that she’d forever be standing by Willy’s side.

“She was a good match for my older brother. They made each other visibly happy, and therefore I was happy too.”
