Princess Kate may eat 'healthy' salad to stay slim – includes 'best fruit' for weight loss


Princess Kate has a fabulous figure and while some of this may be down to genetics, she likely enjoys a healthy diet and gets plenty of exercise.

Over the years royal fans have been able to catch a glimpse of how active the Princess is. Dragon boating, rugby, tennis, running – you name it, Kate’s done it.

In addition to being active, the Princess maintains a nutritious diet, although she does not deprive herself of treats.

In 2019 Kate told culinary legend Mary Berry that the family grow their own vegetables, namely carrots, beans and beetroot.

However, the Princess has also been known to indulge in Indian takeaways, homemade pizzas and cheesy pasta.

It’s all about balance, but when Kate’s looking to eat something particularly nutritious, it has been widely reported that she goes for a watermelon salad.

Nicole Keshishian Modic, known as @kalejunkie on Instagram, shared how royal fans can make a rendition of “Princess Kate’s favourite summer salad”.

But even though the weather is getting colder, this salad is just as healthy – and delicious from September onwards. It also couldn’t be easier to make.

Salad lovers went wild over the royal recipe. @slaglepamela said: “I have to make this! Looks amazing and I’m sure it’s delicious!”. @michelemsmith83 added: “Man this looks so delish… cannot wait to make this…. Looks so healthy and refreshing!!”

Ingredients

  • Three cups watermelon, cubed⁣
  • One english cucumber, chopped⁣
  • One avocado, chopped⁣
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled⁣
  • One bunch mint, chopped⁣
  • 1/4 cup olive oil⁣
  • One lime
  • Two tb apple cider vinegar⁣
  • Salt and pepper

Method

Grab a large bowl, chuck in all of the ingredients and toss gently. Add salt and pepper depending on your personal taste. Enjoy!

Whether you’re trying to maintain your slim frame or actively lose weight, watermelon is a great ingredient.

Rachel Lander-Canseco, RD, a registered dietician at Keck Medicine of USC, explained that because 90 percent of a watermelon’s weight is water, it’s one of the best fruits to eat if you’re trying to lose weight. Indeed, a 100g serving contains just 30 calories.

She said: “In addition to helping the body stay hydrated, snacking on watermelon will help you feel full, so you won’t have cravings between meals.”
