Princess Kate 'making steady recovery' as she makes 'welcome change' post-surgery

“Windsor is lovely, and they have a beautiful house, of course. But it’s also on the Heathrow flight path and that can be very intrusive. William and Kate find all they want as a family in the wide open spaces that Norfolk offers.

“They also have quite a few friends who live there like the Marquess and Marchioness of Cholmondeley, so they can have a bit of fun.

“I think it’s very encouraging that Kate has been well enough to make the trip to Sandringham. It shows that she is making a steady recovery.

“Also, the change will probably be most welcome… the same four walls must get a bit tedious when you are recuperating as she is.”

Originally built in 1802, Anmer Hall is a 19th-century Georgian country house that was acquired by the Sandringham Estate sometime after Queen Victoria purchased the property.

It has been leased to numerous people, including business owners, civil servants, and members of the Royal Family but is now the country residence of the Prince and Princess of Wales after the late Queen Elizabeth II gifted the mansion to the couple as a wedding present.

The estate has undergone numerous renovations over the years. Kate and William’s most recent renovation in 2021 cost a reported £1.5million.
