Princess Kate is 'image Royal Family wants' but people 'don't know what she thinks'

The Princess of Wales has been deemed the “calm and self-assured” member of the Royal Family, with author Omid Scobie claiming that she is the “image that the royals want to project” – despite the fact, he claims, that people “don’t know what she thinks about”.

Mr Scobie is currently set for the release of his new book Endgame, which is due to hit shelves on November 28.

The author, who is known for his interest in the royals, has given his honest opinions on some of the more senior members, including Prince William and Princess Kate.

Speaking of Kate, Mr Scobie spoke of her scandal-free image, suggesting that this is one favoured by the royals.

Speaking to French magazine Paris Match, the author said: “[Kate] has never been involved in a scandal or controversy.”

He added that this is for “good reason” though, particularly as we don’t get to see much of what she “thinks about”.

He added: “She’s calm and self-assured: that’s the image the Royal Family wants to project.

“In fact, she’s certainly the only one who still gets magazine covers and headlines for her work, and not just for gossip or negative things.”

The Princess of Wales, a title which she was bestowed by the King last year, is often praised for not only her work and approach to duty but also for her ability as a mother.

The royal launched her own project Shaping Us, which has been deemed her “life’s work”, back in January.

Over the course of the last 10 months, Kate has been visiting different parts of the country to spread awareness of her new initiative.

Known for her keen interest in childhood development, Kate created Shaping Us to highlight the significance of the formative years of a child’s life.

As well as her exceptional knowledge, Kate also has first-hand experience as a doting mother to her three children – Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and five-year-old Prince Louis.

Both Kate and Prince William have made it clear that their three children are their main priority.

Earlier this month, Kate opted to remain at home with George, Charlotte and Louis, whilst William flew to Singapore for the 2023 Earthprize Awards.

Like many experts, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams praised the royal for her decision.

At the time, he said: “It’s understood she wants to be with George because of his exams and it will be appreciated that the Waleses want to set an example of good parenting, that will be totally understood.”
