Princess Kate forced to change strategy when she saw how Meghan won over public

Princess Kate was forced to change her strategy after she saw how Meghan Markle won over the public, Omid Scobie claims in his new book.

In Endgame, Scobie says that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex became the image of a “modern-looking royal”, causing the Princess of Wales to change both her approach and appearance.

Scobie said: “Harry and Meghan had introduced the world to a new, more modern-looking royal, and it suddenly made the Cambridges – who for years had been the monarchy’s hot young couple – appear a little dull in comparison.”

Scobie claims Princess Kate’s private secretaries briefed her to change her approach to engagements, writing that she was told to do “less ‘listening and learning’ and more doing”.

The author, dubbed Meghan Markle’s “mouthpiece”, took aim at the Prince and Princess of Wales’ wider public appeal.

He wrote: “Though all similar in age, it’s undeniable that during their glory days the Sussexes connected with a younger generation of Brits in a way William and Kate never had.”

Scobie launched multiple scathing criticisms towards the Prince and Princess of Wales throughout his new book, also taking aim at King Charles, Queen Camilla, and other members of the Royal Family.

The author described Princess Kate as “technically a part-time working royal”, in an attack on her workload, adding that she has a lifestyle that most parents could “only dream of”.

Scobie said in his book that Kate “immediately detected a rival” in Meghan Markle, adding that she “spent more time talking about Meghan”, than with her.

He wrote that the Princess of Wales “shudders and giggles” every time she hears Meghan’s name, and accused her of being “cold” towards Meghan during her “cries for help”.

Prince William also felt the brunt of some bombshell claims made in Scobie’s Endgame, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s unofficial biographer accusing William of briefing the press that Harry was “mentally fragile”.

The book also details how Prince Harry was left scrambling for last minute travel arrangements to Balmoral, following news of the Queen’s declining health.

Harry allegedly reached out to Prince William, who was travelling to Scotland via private jet, but The Prince of Wales reportedly left Harry’s messages unanswered.

Scobie writes: “Though there were available seats on William’s chartered Dassault Falcon private jet, which was leaving in less than an hour, Harry was left to fend for himself.”

Scobie claims a family source confirmed William ignored Harry’s messages. The source added: “He clearly didn’t want to see his brother.”
