Princess Kate fights Meghan Markle and Prince Harry narrative 'in only way she can'

Kate, the Princess of Wales is “fighting back” against the multiple swipes Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have leveled against the British Royal Family “the only way she can,” a royal expert has claimed.

The senior royal has kept quiet despite the allegations the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made since stepping down in 2020, namely that Kate and Prince William were “cold” toward Meghan when they first met.

The couple also claimed the Princess of Wales threw a tantrum over the flower girl dress Princess Charlotte had to wear at their wedding, and made Meghan cry.

But rather than repaying the Duke and Duchess in kind, Kate has instead opted to focus on her work and ignored the pair by keeping busy with a series of public outings across England while they attended the Invictus Games in Germany.

Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe suggested Kate’s strategy shows she knows that “slow and steady wins the race” – and her new hairdo is a sign of her “fighting” spirit.

Larcombe said: “She’s fighting back in the only way she can. The Games were a big deal for Harry.

“It’s one of the biggest things he does, and Kate just had to grin and bear the fact it’s the Harry and Meghan show while it’s on.

“Her way of dealing with anything they are up to is just to keep a dignified silence and carry on.”

Larcombe told OK! that Kate and William’s “keep calm and carry on” approach to Harry and Meghan’s revelations has proved successful and they’re likely to continue on this path going forward.

He noted the couple is unable to openly address the comments the Duke and Duchess have made about them and focusing on their duties is the only way to move on.

“They’re not in a position where they can make any reply,” he said as he pointed out that members of the British Royal Family have widely avoided getting sucked into public disputes.

Larcombe added: “The royals don’t reply and get sucked into tit-for-tat, so the Games will only serve as a reminder for Kate of all those awful things that she was accused of.”

Despite Harry’s recent visit to England on the late Queen’s death anniversary, and his subsequent stay in Germany, Kate returned to her duties seemingly unphased after the summer break she spent with William and their children.

The couple led commemorations in honor of Elizabeth II with a visit to Wales, and the Princess of Wales later traveled to Marseille, France to watch England rugby play Argentina.

Last week she visited High Down prison ahead of Addiction Awareness Week and then moved on to Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Yeovilton.

This week she paid tribute to her ancestors with a visit to family-run fabric manufacturer AW Hainsworth in Yorkshire, to whom her family sold a woollen manufacturer in the 1950s.

And on Wednesday she was in Kent to attend a family portage session to highlight the importance of supporting kids with special education needs and disabilities.
