Princess Eugenie, Zara and Mike Tindall jet off on £250k Bahrain trip as royals in crisis

Princess Eugenie, Mike Tindall and Zara Tindall have joined A-list pals in Bahrain after jetting off on a luxury £250,000 trip to the Middle East.

The minor royals have joined the wealthy elite, including aristocrat the Duke of Richmond, as well as Jeremy Clarkson, in a lift back from Saturday’s Grand Prix – in a flight jokingly dubbed Air Force F1 by those on board.

Also in attendance on the luxury Boeing 737 party plane were Princess Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank, Madonna’s son Rocco Ritchie and billionaire insurance mogul David Howden.

The aircraft, which is understood to be jam-packed with booze and gourmet food, costs an estimated £120,000 each way for the private trip, after a weekend of controversy surrounding Geri Halliwell and Christian Horner.

It comes as the Royal Family is in crisis, as King Charles continues to undergo cancer treatment, while Princess Kate continues to recover from planned abdominal surgery in January.

Meanwhile Queen Camilla is taking a week of royal duties after holding the fort in Charles and Kate’s absence, while Prince William has only just returned to duties as normal, visiting Wales to celebrate St David’s Day last week – just days after he missed out on a royal engagement due to a “personal issue”.
