Princess Eugenie reveals shocking eight-word comment people are always saying to her

When you share your life on social media some people feel entitled to comment.

But as well as sometimes critical barbs on her Instagram page, Princess Eugenie has been at the receiving end of a comment in real life that she can’t work out if it’s an insult or a compliment.

The 33-year-old revealed the regular remark as she discussed her life on Kate Thornton’s White Wine Question Time Podcast, reports The Mirror.

Eugenie said to the journalist and presenter that running her account is “the most stressful thing in the world” and confessed that people often come up to her and say, “Oh, you’re much better looking in real life”.

The Royal mum-of-two asked: “Is that a compliment? I don’t know.”

She explained members of the public are surprised at the difference between her appearance in real life and the “terrifyingly ugly photos” of her coming out of bars which they may have spotted online.

She said: “I want people to know me because I think there has been so much misinformation.

“Or, if you see a picture or a terrifyingly ugly photo of us coming out of a bar.

“The action shots that some people get – it’s not the nicest photos.”

Eugenie, who is the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, also revealed that her bad spelling makes her stressed about posting.

She said: “I do my own Instagram and I find it the most stressful thing in the world.

“I get so nervous.

“Before I post I have to text about five people asking them if it’s okay or if it’s got a spelling mistake, am I going to get trolled?”

She added: “I wrote ‘your’ – y o u r – rather than y o u ‘ r e.

“Then I had lots of people go ‘that’s not how you say it’ and I freaked out and it was just something so insignificant.

“Ever since then, I have been really particular about my spelling.”

Eugenie has 1.8 million followers on Instagram and regularly shares family pictures as well as posts campaigning against modern slavery.

Five years of wedded bliss were recently marked by Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank.

The couple tied the knot at St George’s Chapel, Windsor on October 12, 2018 and have since gone on to have two sons, August and Ernest.

A relationship expert thinks that both her and her sister Beatrice have learnt important lessons from their parent’s marriage that ended in divorce.

Tina Wilson said: “Regardless of the headlines that Andrew and Fergie have created, both sisters have created loving families of their own.

“You could say that they’ve learned from their parents’ mistakes and have taken a quieter route to find love, ignoring the limelight and choosing to focus on what really makes them happy.

“They’ve put down strong foundations for their children to flourish within.”

White Wine Question Time is available to listen to on all podcast platforms.
