Princess Eugenie enjoys holiday with pals in Kenya without husband Jack and sons

Princess Eugenie was recently snapped enjoying a luxurious beach getaway to Kenya with pals, leaving her husband Jack Brooksbank and their two young sons at home as she enjoyed some rest and relaxation.

Eugenie and Jack, who tied the knot in October 2018, are parents to August, two and baby Ernest, who arrived in May this year.

The 33-year-old was pictured with German influencer and model Caroline Daur, who shared holiday photos on Lamu Island on her Instagram page.

The small town they visited on the island, also named Lamu, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001, making it the perfect tranquil beach destination for the Princess – who is 11th in line to the throne.

Eugenie and Jack normally split their time between Windsor and Portugal, due to Jack’s business interests abroad.

Princess Eugenie’s close friend Julia de Boinville was also among the group of holidaymakers, who were snapped enjoying a meal and drinks on a boat.

The island, located off the northern coast of Kenya, is known for its watersports and beach activities, such as snorkelling and scuba diving, and has plenty of gorgeous coral reefs and beaches.

Eugenie has not uploaded anything on her own Instagram page about the trip, however last Friday she shared an emotional post on the anniversary of the death of her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.

The Princess always spoke with great love and fondness of the late monarch, whom she referred to simply as “Grannie”.

During the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the princess wrote in The Spectator: “Her Majesty the Queen is an incomparable monarch who has reached a record-breaking milestone. She also happens to be my grannie, and I am a very proud granddaughter.

“I think about my son August and what I’d like for him, what kind of world I’d like him to grow up in. And I think of my grannie and what she has stood for, for so many people and for our family during these 70 years.

“I’d love Augie to have her patience, her calmness and her kindness, while always being able to laugh at himself and keep a twinkle in his eye.”
