Princess Diana 'smacked' Prince Harry for 'casual racism', claims bombshell new book

Princess Diana “smacked” Prince Harry after he mocked the accent of a Punjabi bus driver, a new book sensationally claims. Royal author Robert Jobson is set to release his new book Our King: Charles III: The Man and the Monarch Revealed next month.

Jobson, who has written several books on the Royal Family, has claimed a young Prince Harry made fun of a bus driver repeatedly before incurring his mother’s wrath.

Prince Harry and his bother William were on a special outing with their mother, which had been arranged for them by former police protection officer Inspector Ken Wharfe. Wharfe teamed up with Jobson to write a book on Diana published in 2002.

In an extract of his new book, published in the Daily Mail, he writes: “On the bus, Diana had to tell Harry to stop mimicking the Sikh bus conductor’s pronounced Punjabi accent every time a passenger pressed the bell to get off.

“The conductor, a jovial chap wearing a bright yellow turban, was relaxed about Harry’s casual racism, but Diana was so mortified that she eventually told Ken Wharfe to abandon the trip.

In the book, Jobson discusses how King Charles sought solace in nature as his mother’s health took a turn for the worse. It also claims the late monarch was of the opinion that Prince Harry was “so consumed” by his love for Meghan Markle that it had “clouded his judgement”.

King Charles and Prince William agreed not to be alone with Prince Harry after the Sussexes’ bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, according to Jobson.

Despite the tensions, Harry and Meghan have been invited to the King’s Coronation on May 6, however, the couple have not yet RSVP’d. It is said that Prince Harry will only attend if he gets a face-to-face meeting with King Charles to hash out the issues between them and to receive an apology for the perceived wrongful treatment of Meghan Markle.
