Princess Charlotte's favourite snack is incredibly sophisticated for an eight-year-old

Princess Charlotte’s favourite snack has been revealed ahead of the festive season. The young royal, who is third in line to the British throne, reportedly has a surprisingly sophisticated palette for an eight-year-old. While the majority of children her age might find contentment in cheese sandwiches and assorted potato dishes, the young royal possesses a taste for more posh food item.

The Princess of Wales has previously revealed that her children love to “make salads and stuff” as well as their signature dish, cheesy pasta. She also once admitted that her middle child loves to eat olives.

In making the snack-focused admission she revealed a parallel between the young royal and herself, as she previously shared her love of olives in 2018. It turns out that five-year-old Prince Louis also possesses a surprisingly refined palate, particularly for beetroot – a root vegetable typically disliked by children.

During the filming of a TV Christmas special with Mary Berry last year, the Duchess shared, “We’ve got carrots, beans, beetroot – a massive favourite – Louis absolutely loves beetroot.”

Meanwhile, there are rumors that Prince George, the eldest child, has a fondness for spaghetti carbonara. The Princess of Wales frequently expresses her passion for home cooking, including crafting pizzas with her children, a culinary experience they reportedly “can’t get enough of.”

Pasta and roast chicken stand as dietary staples in the Cambridge household, and the Duke and Duchess have openly discussed their enjoyment of smoothies and steak during their royal duties.

According to Marie Claire, Kate and her family aren’t particularly drawn to sweets but have a penchant for Italian cuisine, such as pasta and pizza. Earlier this month, Princess Charlotte and Prince George participated in a festive tradition at Windsor Great Park, selecting a tree to decorate and display in their home at Adelaide Cottage.

A source revealed to HELLO!: “It’s unsurprising that Prince William and his family chose their tree from Windsor Great Park. The late Queen consistently selected Christmas trees from there for Windsor Castle, and King Charles continued the tradition last year. He is upholding the family’s longstanding practice.”
