Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are 'confident' during 'important transition' – claim

Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have less responsibility than their older brother Prince George, though the two are still largely in the limelight when it comes to the British Royal Family.

While the youngest of the three siblings, Louis, is lesser-spotted at public events, both Charlotte and George have become well-known plus-ones of their senior royal parents, Princess Kate and Prince William.

The Wales’s most recently stepped out as a complete family unit today, while visiting the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford. And according to a body language expert, the young children showed off their true character throughout the day.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Judi James analysed the “confident” behavior of Charlotte and Louis in particular.

She claimed that their demeanor was significant in terms of their relationship with their parents.

Judi observed: “It’s fascinating to see William and Kate go through an important transition stage with their children here, especially the two youngest.

“As parents, they have always seemed to want to see their children behaving as confidently and as independently as possible but on this outing, we can see both Louis and Charlotte beginning to show signs of exceeding the boundaries.

“And getting body language signals from William and Kate that suggest a desire to keep them closer and protected for a little longer.”

Of course, Charlotte’s age could be a factor in her increasing “distance” from her parents, but Judi claimed that there are physical signs of this too.

She noted that today in particular the young Princess “showed her independence by keeping a wide spatial distance between herself and Kate”.

The body language expert continued that while Kate’s natural response is to “motion her to come closer”, this isn’t always reciprocated by the eight-year-old.

Judi explained: “As Charlotte walks out of the plane lost in her own world, Kate extends an arm that might signal ‘keep closer’. The gesture looks more for Kate’s benefit than Charlotte’s, who looks perfectly happy walking by herself.

“Charlotte seems to have a considerable amount of star quality that emerges via her confidence and her preference for walking away from her family to show her independence.”

Despite being younger than both Charlotte and George, Prince Louis expressed the same confidence as his older siblings during the RAF visit.

Already known for his charismatic and cheeky personality, Judi analysed how the five-year-old “tested the boundaries even more” while touring the different aircraft earlier today.

The body language professional suggested that he did this by “leading the group out of the plane and walking confidently down the incline, with a rather anxious-looking father behind him”.
