Prince George and Princess Charlotte could scarcely contain their delight as Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog gatecrashed last night’s live Coronation concert. The royal siblings who attended without little brother Prince Louis, appeared to enjoy themselves at the lavish event – and never more so than when the Muppet couple put in an appearance alongside actor Hugh Bonneville.
Grandfather King Charles III and Queen Camilla appeared slightly bemused by the comedy skit, in which Miss Piggy attempted to flirt with Paddington star Bonneville.
Charlotte, in particular, made no attempt to conceal her enjoyment of the endearing moment, while George covered his face and smiled.
Prince Louis, five, gave the evening concert, in the grounds of Windsor Castle, a miss, no doubt all tuckered out from his antics the previous day, when his infectious energy kept onlookers entertained once again.
At one point Charlotte and George stood with others in the royal box, including the King and Queen, and danced to Lionel Richie’s hit All Night Long and songs by Take That.

The pair also waved their flags enthusiastically and swayed in time to the music, while Charlotte the words to Katy Perry’s Roar and Firework with gusto as the US singer took to the stage wearing a gold metallic ball gown.
Eventually, Kermit, dressed in a smart suit and tie, joined the Windsors in the royal box, waving his flag in front of a delighted Duke of Edinburgh.
When William took to the stage to deliver a touching tribute to his “Pa” the King, Charlotte turned to George to get his attention, pointing at the stage with her flag.
The princess wore a white dress with a frilled Peter Pan collar and bow, although she later put on a white coat over the top.
Meanwhile, George was in a suit and tie, just like his father.
Charlotte was seen singing “bring me a higher love” to Steve Winwood’s performance of Higher Love.
Charlotte curtseyed to the King and Queen as they arrived while George gave them a bow.
An estimated 20 million people tuned in for the concert, according to Broadcasters’ Audience Research Board (BARB) figures.
