Princess Beatrice 'to land new role' after Prince Harry and Meghan's £18m 'grifters' spat

The eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson has always been involved in one way or another in tech and since 2017, she has been Vice-President of Partnerships and Strategy at US software and data firm Afiniti.

According to Ms Prescott, Beatrice is also director of a company called BY-EQ, which “she set up in 2022 under the unassuming name Beatrice York”.

Harry and Meghan saw their lucrative Spotify deal end last summer after only producing one show.

At the time, a joint statement from the Sussexes’ company and Spotify said they had “mutually agreed to part ways”.

Head of Podcast Innovation and Monetization at Spotify Bill Simmons savaged the Montecito couple, branding them “f****** grifters”.

Speaking on his own podcast, Mr Simmons said: “I wish I had been involved in the ‘Meghan and Harry leave Spotify’ negotiation. The F****** Grifters. That’s the podcast we should have launched with them. I have got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea. It’s one of my best stories … F*** them. The grifters.”

Meanwhile, Meghan secured a new deal with podcast distributor Lemonada Media back in February.

The new show, which has not been named yet, will be hosted by Meghan herself, while the company will also distribute her previous Spotify series, Archetypes, to all its podcast platforms.
