Princess Beatrice is still 'delighted' by 'flirtatious' husband Edoardo, claims expert

Princess Beatrice, 34, has had somewhat of a whirlwind romance with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

While the pair were rumoured to have known of each other years before their relationship started, they only became an official duo in 2018.

Just one year after the pair got married in 2020 they welcomed their first daughter, Sienna Mappelli Mozzi, in September 2021.

Now three years after the day of their nuptials, the royal couple appear as strong as ever, according to a royal body language expert.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Judi James observed that the pair were still in their “honeymoon stage” during their recent appearance at Wimbledon.

She suggested: “The intense face-watching; the lifted and rounded cheeked-smile; and the way Beatrice performs a hair-preen gesture as a result of her husband’s attention, show these two are very much still in the honeymoon stage of their relationship, despite having been married for three years.

“Eduardo looks so attentive and flirtatious as he gazes at his wife and grins in a bid to make her smile too.”

The couple were spotted being affectionate with one another as they sat courtside on day 12 of the tournament, and according to Judi, both Beatrice and Edo were equally as forthcoming in their behaviours.

Though they keep their children and personal life largely private, the body language expert observed that their strong bond is easy to see.

She continued: “Edo’s eyes are crinkled and his cheeks rounded and raised as he looks at her, creating the classic ‘look of love’ and the intensity seems to have Beatrice giggling like a teenager.

“It’s the after-flirting gestures that count though and Beatrice’s hand to her hair in a small hair preen shows she’s not just flattered but delighted in the attention she’s getting from her rather dashing-looking husband here.”

The loved-up couple share one daughter together, though Princess Beatrice is also a stepmum to six-year-old Christopher “Wolfie” Woolf.

While the royal couple often attend significant royal events, such as Royal Ascot, they are more private than their senior relatives.

Both non-working members of the family, Beatrice and Edo were even able to marry in secret.

After postponing a large wedding in 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic, they quietly tied the knot on July 17 at The Royal Chapel of All Saints on the grounds of Royal Lodge in Windsor.
