Princess Anne spotted wearing awesome shirt from 1992 and royal fans have gone wild

Princess Anne is a very cool lady and has a fabulous sense of style, always looking impeccable yet trendy.

Yesterday the royal attended the 92nd Textile Institute World Conference at the University of Huddersfield wearing an electric green coat complete with bright gold buttons. She wore dark velvet gloves, black shoes and a black patent handbag.

However, it was Princess Anne’s statement shirt that attracted attention – and not just because it was multi-coloured.

This was not the first time the Princess Royal sported the black with multi-coloured striped shirt.

She also wore it in 1992, again pairing it with green, however in the 90s she showed off her fab figure by tucking the skirt into a forest green pencil skirt.

Most recently Anne turned her collar up so it wasn’t hidden by her coat and royal fans could catch more of a glimpse of the cool shirt.

Back in 1992 she left the top button undone but kept the collar down, showcasing a gorgeous white cluster necklace.

The royal’s accessory choice has appeared to change in the last 30 years.

For the conference Anne donned two gold brooches from her vast collection, plus a pair of dainty gold stud earrings.

Three decades ago she opted for a gold watch, black sunnies and a camera which suggests she might have been at a sporting event when she wore the shirt.

Royal fans were absolutely delighted to see the trendy royal rewearing such a cool piece, with many taking to Instagram to praise her.

@florence.pit commented: “She is amazing in many ways. In terms of rewear, no one can beat her!”

@sarah_o_kay added: “Princess Anne is definitely the re-wear Queen. If she could have free access to any royal ladies’ wardrobe it would definitely be hers (actually it would be Queen Maxima’s and then Anne’s).

“I’d love to just see the closet/storage of where she keeps her clothes and how they’re organised.”

@urban.panache said: “Princess Anne should get her own category. She’s the only female I know who can fit into the same clothing for 50 years straight.”

@margoum13 said: “Love the entire look from ‘92 actually… so in vogue!”
