Princess Anne leaves crowds in hysterics by making hilarious demand about chocolate cake

Princess Anne has proved once again why she is one of the nation’s most cherished members of the Royal Family, as she made a hilarious quip when about to cut a cake.

While on a visit to Wormwood Scubs pony centre in West London, the Princess Royal, 73, was tasked with cutting a rather large chocolate cake.

But before slicing the delicious treat, Anne turned around to those gathered around her and issued a rather hilarious demand.

She said: “I hope you’ve all had a chance to see this cake because it really is stunning. But the instructions are that you will eat it if I cut it because otherwise it is just legalised vandalism. Okay? Good. Enjoy the cake.”

Anne, who is Vice Patron of The British Horse Society, visited the pony centre to mark its 35th anniversary. While she was there she didn’t mention King Charles’s health but people sent their best wishes to her brother and she thanked them.

She was joined by television actor Martin Clunes among others on today’s visit, where she toured the centre and met a number of the prize ponies.

Later on she is due to attend the Royal Yachting Association’s Annual Luncheon at Trinity House, Tower Hill.
