Princess Anne fans all left saying the same thing about Commonwealth Day service

Royal fans have been left in awe at Princess Anne’s outfit as she stepped out for the Commonwealth Day service this afternoon.

The Princess Royal, 73, wore a red, cashmere coat for the occasion, with fans calling the outfit “beautiful”.

Anne, sister to King Charles, was all smiles as she walked into Westminster Abbey, waving to the crowd waiting to catch a glimpse of the royal.

The knee-length coat from Shibumi retails for £395, with Anne having previously seen wearing it at a public appearance in Canada last year.

Princess Anne was accompanied by Dolly Maude at the service this afternoon, described as Zara Tindall’s “right hand woman”.

Dolly, 51, was dressed in a chic tweed coat dress with gold statement buttons, sporting a headpiece to match her look.

Anne wore the £395 coat over a teal below-the-knee dress, with a matching top hat complete with a red ribbon to tie the look together.

One fan wrote on social media platform X: “Princess Anne looks so regal and sophisticated. The coat is beautiful. I love how she coordinates her outfits.”

Another wrote: “Beautiful picture of Princess Anne!” A third simply wrote: “Gorgeous.”

Dolly Maude is one of Princess Anne’s newest Ladies-in-Waiting, whose jobs include escorting the Princess Royal to royal engagements.

The 73-year-old is said to have 11 Ladies-in-Waiting. Dolly is a close friend of Anne’s daughter Zara Tindall, having been present at the birth of her son Lucas.

Dolly started as a Lady-in-Waiting last month, with Buckingham Palace announcing her appointment.

Mike Tindall previously opened up about their son’s birth on his podcast The Good, The Bad & The Rugby after he arrived quicker than expected. “Fortunately Zara’s friend Dolly is, she’s actually more important than I am at making sure she’s been at all three of my children’s births,” he said.
