Prince William's unusual royal move for wife Kate that proves he's a 'modern man'

Prince William has been labelled a “modern man” who goes out of his way to support his wife, Kate, the Princess of Wales, and their family, as she recovers from the successful abdominal surgery she underwent last week.

Princess Kate was admitted to the London Clinic early last week and was expected to stay there for up to 14 days following her operation, Kensington Palace announced. The procedure was understood not to be cancer-related. Once discharged, she will return to Windsor to continue her recovery.

The Prince of Wales has been pictured visiting Kate at the hospital whilst he is also said to be doing the school runs.

William has postponed several of his royal engagements so he can be by his wife’s side and support their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Now a royal expert commented on his efforts to hold the fort back at home and offer his utmost support to his beloved wife.

Editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, Ingrid Seward, told HELLO!: “It’s pretty unusual for the Prince of Wales to cancel engagements because his wife isn’t well – that certainly wouldn’t have happened in the past.

“But he’s a modern man whose family is more important to him than anything else.”

She also praised the heir to the throne saying he “is incredibly supportive as a husband”.

It comes as another royal expert hailed the Prince of Wales saying this move will likely “gain more affection for him by the public”.

Royal author Pauline MacLaran told Daily Express US: “The fact that William is at her side in hospital or looking after the kids instead of carrying out royal duties is only likely to gain more affection for him.

“He is showing himself as a very modern man taking on shared responsibilities with his partner.”
