Prince William has been spotted enjoying a pint at the Prince Albert pub in Battersea, but having moved to Windsor, there are a number of pubs that can serve as the royal’s local.
Prince William and Princess Kate relocated from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor in September 2022, along with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The Waleses’ home is located on the Windsor Home Park estate in Berkshire, and the family can walk to the main castle in a short time frame.
One nearby pub directly opposite Windsor Castle is The Duchess of Cambridge (Princess Kate’s former royal title) which opened up after the couple’s wedding in 2011.

Throughout the years, The Duchess of Cambridge pub has had many names: The Bunch of Grapes, Slug & Lettuce, The Dome, B bar and The Knights Tavern.
However, it was bought by brewery company McMullen over a decade ago and the pub was renamed after Princess Kate in 2011.
While the Princess of Wales has reportedly not yet visited the pub in person, it is said that the late Duke of Edinburgh would frequently drive his carriage past.
While not all drinks are had in the Duchess of Cambridge pub – the royals all have their favourite drinks.
King Charles is thought to be fond of a gin and tonic when he travels, or a Scotch whiskey. Royal commentator, Gordon Rayner has also said he likes a gin martini before dinner mixed with half gin and half dry vermouth. Queen Camilla on the other hand, prefers a glass of red wine as she grew up close to the wine business.
The Queen, who is rather appropriately President of the United Kingdom Vineyards Association, said: “My father was in the wine business so as children we used to take wine and water and I have drunk it ever since.”
MyLondon reports the Princess of Wales is said to be fond of Guinness and also a gin and tonic. It was previously revealed that Prince William brings her one in the evening after Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have gone to bed.
A close friend of the Duchess said: “William will bring Kate a gin and tonic. They look after each other but in different ways.”
Adelaide Cottage, where the Prince and Princess of Wales currently live, was built in 1831 by architect Jeffry Wyatville and commissioned by King William IV for his wife Queen Adelaide. Queen Victoria reportedly often visited this peaceful cottage, which apparently was once called Adelaide Lodge, and she enjoyed taking her breakfast there.
