Prince William 'rolls his eyes' at mentions of The Crown after new Princess Kate storyline

Prince William is allegedly no fans of the popular Netflix show that details their romance.

Season six of The Crown follows the Prince of Wales, 41, and his wife Princess Kate, 42, through the early years of their relationship.

But it’s unlikely the pair will sit in front of the TV to stream the show.

“The Prince…rolls his eyes when people say that ‘it’s just drama,'” says a source close to the royal. “Yet he will not give it any greater publicity by complaining. He doesn’t like the idea of being seen as a complainer all the time.”

The quote appears in Robert Hardman’s The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchy, which is out Thursday.

Excerpts from the book appeared in the Daily Mail on Tuesday.

Hardman writes that the prince prefers to watch action movies in his spare time.

“Superhero movies are, apparently, a particular favourite, especially Deadpool and all things Batman-related,” he reveals.

Prince Harry, on the other hand, has a more forgiving take on the hit TV show.

He has previously said that he does watch it, telling James Corden in 2021 that it’s far from the worst portrayal of his family out there.

“I’m way more comfortable with The Crown than I am seeing the stories written about my family, or my wife, or myself,” Harry said. “That is obviously fiction – take it how you will. But this is being reported on as fact because you’re supposedly news. I have a real issue with that.”

Hardman has also revealed that William may break with 500 years of tradition when he becomes King.

He is said to be considering not becoming Supreme Governor of the Church of England when he eventually succeeds his father.

“In royal circles, it is no secret that he does not share the King’s sense of the spiritual, let alone the late Queen’s unshakeable devotion to the Anglican church,” Hardman writes.
