Prince William 'likely to maintain a higher profile' on imminent return to work

Prince William is scheduled to return to work this week, and according to one royal expert, it’s going to be “business as usual.”

William is set to carry out two royal engagements on Thursday, visiting a surplus food redistribution charity and a youth centre that benefits from the organisation’s aid.

Daily Express US spoke to Dr Tobias Harper, Associate Professor at Arizona State University, about William’s return to work, who said: “I think this has to be ‘business as usual,’ because this is core to his work as the heir to the throne.”

He added: “I’m sure it is difficult in ways that are hard to know, but it is his job.”

Easter break is a quiet time for the royals, a chance to rest and regroup, it’s been said.

William is doing a lot of the heavy lifting with both King Charles and Princess Kate on medical leave, but he’s not alone in this, says Dr Maclaran: “There is no doubt he has the support of the Queen, Princess Anne and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.”

She adds: “But they cannot replace the King and the Princess of Wales so the spotlight is really on William at this time.

“I think it will reassure the public to see him more actively pursuing his role.”
