Prince William has been hailed as the most “romantic” member of the Royal Family as a former staff member claims he will have something special planned for Princess Kate for Valentine’s Day.
Grant Harrold, who once worked as a royal butler and is now an etiquette expert, explained that the Prince of Wales has always been a “gentleman” in his marriage, with him and Kate first meeting as university students back in 2001.
Even though the Princess has spent the last few weeks recuperating following major abdominal surgery, the former butler has no doubt her husband will make her feel “important and appreciated”.
Speaking on behalf of Slingo Mr Harrold said: “William has always been a romantic at heart. He was always a gentleman with Kate and he still is to this day.
“His attention to detail is always spot on and what he does to make Kate feel important and appreciated. He’s the most romantic royal.”
The former butler recalled one particularly special moment during his time working for the Firm: “I remember doing one of my first dinners for the two of them, and it was around Valentine’s Day.
“He was involved in all the planning, he had thought everything out. He thought about how the table was going to look, every detail. He is a romantic, but he enjoys it too.
“He’s very sweet and cares about what she thinks. He is the happiest when he is with Kate. This is why I’ve always known Kate and William to be the most perfect match. They just fit.
“But William has been a gentleman since he was a young lad. They celebrate Valentine’s Day. There will be flowers involved, chocolates, and special gifts. They are romantics deep down, which I think surprises people.”
Kate and William were the perfect fairytale couple when they married on April 29 2011 at Westminster Abbey, with millions of people around the world watching their big day.
They have since had three children – Prince George, who was born on July 22 2013, Princess Charlotte, who arrived on May 2 2015 and Prince Louis, who came along on April 23 2018.
