Prince William is 'genuinely happy to be in Singapore without Kate' as key clues revealed

“We didn’t see any of these gestures during his first days in Singapore, which tells me that the Prince has become much more confident in his engagements and himself as a person.”

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Bingo, the expert went on to say that the royal tends to cope very well during solo engagements and in Singapore he had crows feet at the side of his eyes, which “denotes genuine joy and happiness at being at the Earthshot event.”

Stanton even compared William to his father, King Charles, who, unlike his son, “needs Queen Camilla by his side”.

“[William] is confident enough to carry himself on his own, and he’s not at a loss when Kate isn’t there.

“When William and Kate are together, he often lets her take centre stage.

“However, you can tell he is genuinely happy to be at the event by himself. It’s a very authentic display from William.”

Earlier today, the Prince of Wales said Kate was sorry not to be in Singapore with him as he announced a new international initiative to clamp down on the £16.35 billion a year illegal trade in wildlife.

He said: “I’m delighted to be back in Singapore.

“It has been 11 years since Catherine and I enjoyed a memorable visit here on behalf of my late Grandmother in her Diamond Jubilee Year.

“And I should mention that Catherine is very sorry she can’t be here. She is helping George through his first set of major exams.”
