Prince William has royal fans in frenzy after hilarious 'inner child moment' resurfaces

Prince William sparked a royal frenzy after a hilarious moment showing him letting out his “inner child” resurfaced.

The special footage was filmed during a family visit to the Chelsea Flower Show in 2019, when Kate, the Princess of Wales showcased her landscaping skills with her own garden.

The Prince of Wales took their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to visit their mum’s creation – and found himself enjoying the amenities himself.

In the video, William can be seen swinging on a specially erected swing at the centre of Kate’s “Back to Nature” garden.

TikTok user @pringeorgeofwales reshared the clip and captioned it: “I guess he [is] just showing his kids how it works.

The clip has been viewed nearly 230,000 times since it was first published on the social media platform and was shared over 22,000 times.

Royal fans flocked to the comment section to praise William for taking the time to enjoy himself as well during the official outing, with user @abihaq0 saying: “He was in his inner child moment.”

User @delilah4632 said: “He is like the funniest dad ever”, with fellow TikToker @corvuscorax96 commenting: “William just having a great time.”

Other social media users also praised the Prince of Wales for showing off his fun side and “great sense of humour” during the outing.

Further footage from the day also showed the heir to the throne asking his daughter Charlotte, whom he called to him using the nickname “Mignonette” to push him.

The French-inspired nickname means “cute” but also “small, sweet and delicate”.

During the visit, William also asked George to rate his mother’s work with the garden to which the young prince said: “20”

The Prince of Wales replied: “20 out of 10? That’s pretty good. I think mummy’s done well.”

Friends of the royal have often remarked he has a “wicked sense of humour” and he has often been spotted letting it show on more relaxed outings.

During the Coronation concert, William was spotted laughing as he waved his flag in front of a rather peeved Prince George much to Charlotte’s delight.

He also drew laughter from his whole family and the crowd with what royal fans described as a spot-on “dad joke” as he delivered a speech to mark the historic moment.

As he took to the stage to celebrate his father the King, William said: “I want to say a few words about my father and why I believe this weekend is so important.”

Referencing the recent performance of top hit “All Night Long”, he added: “But don’t worry, unlike Lionel, I won’t go on all night long.”
