Prince William 'doesn't want to speak' as he cut communications with Harry for six months

“And it’s definitely true to say, everything I’ve been told Harry and William haven’t spoken since the Queen’s funeral and, frankly, William doesn’t want to speak to his brother.”

The pair were last seen together at Her late Majesty’s funeral in September when the loss of their beloved grandmother appeared to help thaw things between the two.

But the release of the six-part Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan in December, followed weeks later by the publication of the Duke’s memoir Spare, delivered a further hammer blow to the brothers’ relationship.

While William has so far lived by the royal mantra of “never complain, never explain”, sources close to the royal have claimed he was “absolutely horrified” by some of the claims Harry made in his book.

One insider told US Weekly: “He doesn’t even recognize his own brother anymore. He wants to believe that there’s hope for peace down the line, but it’s hard.

“At this point, he’s got no plans to speak to Harry. He’s come to terms with the fact that he’s lost his little brother and quite possibly for life.”

Andrews, however, noted the negotiations between the King and Harry to ensure his attendance at the Coronation are a good sign there is still hope for their relationship to recover.

She told TalkTV: “While I think it’s positive there are green shoots of reconciliation, I don’t think we should think that Harry has gone down on bended knees on the phone and apologised to…’hello, Pa, I’m so sorry for everything I said.’

“That hasn’t happened. What has happened is that Charles and Harry had a conversation about Charles’s May 6 Coronation and Harry graciously accepted.

“This was after his people had spoken to Buckingham Palace people about what the event would entail, security at Westminster Abbey.

“There’s been some reporting that Harry complained about where he may or may not be seated, other people reported that no, that’s completely wrong.”

Buckingham Palace confirmed last week that the Duke of Sussex will indeed be returning to the UK to attend his father’s Coronation at Westminster Abbey.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex will not be attending but will instead remain in California with the couple’s two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
