Prince Harry's hopes of Royal Family reunion laid bare in emotional interview

Prince Harry has given an emotional interview about King Charles’s recent cancer diagnosis and delcared: “I love my family.”

Appearing on Good Morning America, Harry spoke for the first time about his father’s cancer diagnosis and his brief chat with him at Clarence House last week.

Asked by Good Morning America presenter Will Reeve how his whirlwind visit to the UK last week was for him “emotionally”, Harry replied: “Um, look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that.”

Reeve said: “I’ve also found in my own life that sort of an illness in the family can have a galvanising or a sort of reunifying effect for a family. Is that possible in this case?”

And Harry replied: “Absolutely. Yeah, I’m sure. Throughout all these families I see it on a day-to-day basis, again, the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness brings families together.”

The full interview has not yet aired, but Harry is also due to talk about his life with the Duchess of Sussex and the Invictus Games during the broadcast, to be aired on Good Morning America on Friday.
