Prince Harry wants Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to 'feel at home in UK'

Royal commentator Jennie Bond believes the Duke wants the UK to play a big part in Archie and Lilibet’s lives.

She told OK! Magazine: “I was very interested to hear Harry say in evidence to a court that he still regards the UK as his home and that it is central to the heritage of his children.

“He says he wants them to feel at home in the UK as much as where they live at the moment in the US.

“This is the clearest indication we’ve had that the prince has not turned his back on his home country once and for all.”

The royal expert added: “Indeed, it sounds as if life in the US is not necessarily permanent. It tells us that he does indeed miss aspects of his previous life and that he does want his children to understand the world they were born into.

“But I don’t think it proves he’s uncomfortable with his life in California. He believes this is the best place for his wife and family for now.

“He has a measure of freedom and relaxed lifestyle that would be hard to replicate over here at the moment.

“So he does indeed have to make the best of it, but I don’t honestly believe that’s too hard for him as things stand.

“There is one heck of a lot of awkwardness in the offing when, and if, he sees his UK family again.”

Royal commentator Katie Nicholl told GB News that the Duke of Sussex “must feel homesick”.

She added: “California is a world away from Britain and a world away from a British Christmas.

“I suspect they will have many of the British traditions that Harry is used to, we have seen him dressing the tree with Archie. They will have as close to a British Christmas in California as they can.

“Of course, what they won’t have is the traditional royal Christmas experience at Sandringham.”
