Prince Harry 'very unlikely' to reconcile with William this week despite Duke's UK return

The Duke of Sussex is unlikely to hold a face-to-face meeting with his elder brother Prince William this week. Prince Harry’s return to Britain to attend in person a four-day privacy case hearing would provide an opportunity for the Prince of Wales and his brother to come together if the heir to the throne was in Windsor.

However, the Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly left Adelaide Cottage, their home in Berkshire, with their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – to spend half-term together.

Adelaide Cottage became the Wales family’s residence in the late summer of 2022 and is only a short walk away from Frogmore Cottage, which has been the official home of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the UK since 2019 and is likely the place where Prince Harry is going to stay over the next few days.

William’s absence makes it difficult for a “reconciliation meeting” with Harry to take place in the immediate future, GB News royal correspondent Cameron Walker tweeted.

He wrote: “A reconciliation meeting between The Duke of Sussex and The Prince of Wales is very unlikely this week. It is understood The Prince and Princess of Wales have taken their children away from Windsor for the Easter Holidays.”

While most pupils are still attending classes, Lambrook School – to which the three Wales children were enrolled last September – ended its Lent Term on March 24.

The Prince and Princess of Wales often spend half-term and their children’s school holidays at their residence in Norfolk, Anmer Hall.

In previous years, however, they also travelled abroad, including in October 2021 when the family of five left Britain to spend a few days in Jordan.

Mr Walker added it is understood King Charles III is also not in Windsor nor in London at the moment, making an in-person meeting between father and son unlikely.

Moreover, he is set to leave with Queen Camilla for a carefully-planned state visit to Germany on Wednesday.

Prince Harry last met in person his closest relatives based in the UK in September, when he and the Duchess of Sussex were in Britain to attend a few events linked to organisations they support.

Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the Sussexes prolonged their stay to be able to attend the funeral service and pay their respects to Prince Harry’s late grandmother.

This happened before the release of Netflix’s Harry & Meghan docu-series and of Spare, the Duke’s tell-all memoir, both of which included blistering criticism against the Firm and some of its members.
