Prince Harry told to 'get over himself, you're not a victim' in scathing note from friend

Prince Harry has been told to “get over yourself, you’re not a victim” in a letter from a former friend.

The Duke of Sussex was criticised for his debut memoir Spare, where he made several shocking revelations about his life in the Royal Family.

In his book, Harry spoke about the breakdown of his relationship with his brother Prince William and claimed that his father King Charles made cruel jokes. However, a former friend of Harry’s has now urged him to “get over yourself” in a strong-worded letter.

Edward Charles Featherstone, a pseudonym used by Harry’s former polo-playing mate, said the Duke of Sussex is “nothing like the man I met”.

Speaking to The Mirror, he said Harry’s memoir was “disappointing” because it portrayed him as “being the victim when he’s the furthest thing from a victim.”

Edward revealed that he has now written a letter to Harry to encourage him to change his ways.

“It really just says get over yourself, you’re not a victim and you were part of a noble cause as the torch bearer of the Invictus and what you’re doing now and what you’re doing to your family is, I think, inappropriate,” he explained.

Edward, the author of a new book called The Rude Beginning, has penned a letter that he plans to publish in the future. “I’ve written a letter to him which at some stage I will publish.” he shared.

He’s unsure where to publish, however. He said: “Whether I do it lowkey on the H2Z website or the Rude Chronicles website, or whether I do it slightly more upbeat and take a page in the LA Times remains to be seen. But at some point, I will probably publish that letter.”

Originally, the letter was part of his new book, but he decided it was something for later. His book, The Rude Chronicles, is the first in his memoir series.
