Prince Harry to bid 'final goodbye' to Royal Family after enduring 'last straw'

Prince Harry is poised to bid a “final goodbye” to royal life next month after enduring tensions with the Firm left him wanting a life in the US.

Amidst ongoing tensions within the royal family, Prince Harry’s decision to make the US his primary residence, revealed by a document backdated to June 29, 2023, has left many believing he has endured the “last straw” with the Royal Family.

The Duke’s relocation to the US follows a series of events that have strained his relationship with the royal establishment.

Last year, in March 2023, King Charles requested that Harry and his wife Meghan Markle leave their home of Frogmore Cottage, a move that reportedly left Prince Harry incensed.

The date document revealing Prince Harry’s permanent home as the US, June 29, 2023, was the exact same day it was publicly announced by Buckingham Palace that the couple were no longer living at the cottage.

According to royal expert Tom Quinn, the eviction from Frogmore Cottage was a significant blow for Prince Harry after mounting tensions boiled over.

He told The Mirror: “At the time, few people realized what a slap in the face the eviction from Frogmore felt like for Harry – it was the last straw.”

Prince Harry’s impending return to the UK for an event at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, could be his “final goodbye” to royal duties.

Quinn suggested that Prince Harry’s ties to the UK have been completely severed, regardless of if he were to be needed for royal duties in the future.

He said: “Even if Harry begged to be allowed back to help out – even if his father King Charles became so ill he was unable to carry out his duties – whatever happens, the call to help will never go out to Montecito. Making the US his primary residence is Harry’s final goodbye.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have lived in Montecito, California since 2020 after leaving their royal duties earlier that same year.
