Prince Harry takes 'unintentional' swipes at William and King Charles in new documentary

Prince Harry’s apparent swipes at King Charles and Prince William in a newly-released documentary have been branded “not intentional”.

The new documentary, which is titled ‘Prince Harry’s Mission: Life, Family and the Invictus Games’, began streaming on Disney-owned platform Hulu on February 25.

The show features clips from Harry’s most-recent interview with Good Morning America, which took place in Canada.

Speaking of Harry’s apparent swipes, Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR told the Mirror: “I don’t believe it is a PR stunt by Harry himself to include the ‘jealous’, William swipe and how Charles doesn’t have a relationship with Harry’s kids.

“Also the interviews used in the documentary are from across many years and at some point Harry’s relationship with his family will have been at an all time low and he’s probably said things in interviews that he has perhaps thought better of afterwards and thought ‘maybe I shouldn’t have said that’, or perhaps it was construed in the wrong way.”

Continuing, Ms Carratt added: “While it isn’t new news that King Charles doesn’t have a relationship with grandchildren and that there is rivalry between the brothers.

“It is likely that these things have been used in the trailer as ‘juicy’, parts to hook viewers in by making it sound like Harry has made new comments about his family.”

Speaking of Americans, she added: “This is a normal way to promote a TV show, you want viewers to tune in and if they think it is going to be juicy, they’ll tune in.

“And, let’s not forget the Americans love anything to do with the British Royal Family. However, on the whole it is a positive documentary.”

It is no secret that Harry has been at loggerheads with the Royal Family for some time, especially since stepping down as a working royal at the start of 2020.

Prince Harry now resides in the US with wife Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two.
