Prince Harry releases 'emotional' letter ahead of Remembrance Day

Prince Harry has penned an emotional letter to the young members of Scotty’s Little Soldiers to offer support at what can be a proud but emotional time for bereaved military children and young people.

Scotty’s Little Soldiers are the charity for bereaved military children who have experienced the death of a parent serving in the British Armed Forces.

The Duke, who has been involved with the charity since 2017, was recently asked to be its first-ever Global Ambassador.

Ahead of Rememberance Day, which marks the actual day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918.

The Duke has written a moving letter to the charity, drawing on his own experience of losing a parent.

Hw wrote: “To all of Scotty’s Little Soldiers,

“As many of us observe and reflect on Rememberance Sunday, I wanted to write to you and let you know you are all in my thoughts and heart today.

“We share a bond even without ever meeting one another, because we share in having lost a parent. I know first-hand the pain and grief that comes with loss and want you to know that you are not alone.
